About lessons in English

At Geto Kogen Ski Resort Ski School, only a limited number of instructors are able to conduct lessons in English or languages other than Japanese. However, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Guidance

Geto Kogen Snowboard School, certified by the Japan Snowboard Federation, is dedicated to helping you improve your snowboarding skills.
Lessons are available for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced snowboarders.
Our skilled and friendly staff look forward to supporting your progress on the slopes.

小学生レッスン

We support teaching the delights of skiing to willing and energetic young children.

Class A：Starting out / Description of tools and how to handle them / Basic sideslip
Class B：2nd time onwards/ Turning / For those inexperienced in using ski lifts or unable to ride lifts alone
Class C：Able to make consecutive turns / Ability to ride the lift alone
*Please prepare a valid separate lift ticket

Kids Private Lesson

Private one-on-one lessons for first-time energetic young riders!

We will provide a fun, gentle and safe lesson according to your child's physical strength and level.
[Target] 4 years old to preschool children (preschoolers can use ski lifts at no charge).
・Safety is our top priority. As such children may not be able to ride the lift depending on the skill or the weather conditions.
* Appropriate breaks for rest and playing in the snow will be included based on how the child is progressing.

Eligibility: Elementary school students and above.
A separate fee of 1,000 yen is added for any specific staff nominations.

・If you wish to extend a lesson, please pay the difference at the hourly rate.
*Additional number of people cannot be added to a lesson during time extensions.

Popular private lessons for adults with children.

Target: Parents with children ages 4 and over
A separate fee of 1,000 yen is added for any specific staff nominations.
Depending on your level, you may have to climb (without using ski lifts) for safety reasons.
*For safety reasons, preschoolers are not allowed to ride ski lifts alone. Please always ride ski lifts with an instructor or guardian.

・If you would like your progress to be videoed, please contact us in advance. Please bring a microSD card to copy the video.
The video meeting is included in the lesson time.

・電話／メールの受付時間は８:００～１７:００です。１７:００以降のご予約は翌日対応とさせて頂きます。
Telephone/email reception hours are 8:00-17:00.
※前日、または当日のお申し込みは直接スクールまでお電話下さい。
For applications the day before or on the day, please call the school directly.
・団体や英語レッスン希望の方は要予約とさせて頂きます。
Reservations are required for groups and those wishing to take English lessons.
・お客様のご都合によりご予約をキャンセルされた場合はキャンセル料が発生致します。

If you cancel your reservation due to customer's convenience, a cancellation fee will be charged.
50% 2 days before, 70% the day before, 100% on the day

We may decline your request depending on the reservation status.

開始前に Various precautions

・当校は怪我、事故による傷害・賠償保険に加入しておりますが、念の為、各自スポーツ傷害保険加入を推奨しております。
Our school has injury and liability insurance for injuries and accidents, but as a precaution, we recommend that each student take out sports accident insurance.
・レッスン料金にリフト代金は含まれておりません。
The lesson fee does not include lift fees.
・ゴーグル、帽子等の頭部の保護具は必ずご用意下さい。保護具のない方は受講をお断りする場合がございます。
Please be sure to prepare head protection. If you do not have protective equipment, you may be refused participation.
・安全考慮としましてヘルメット装着を推奨しております。
We recommend wearing a helmet.
・防寒対策を万全にした上で受講して下さい。
Please take all possible precautions against the cold before taking the class.
・悪天候により中断・中止・休校になる場合がございます。
It may be interrupted or canceled due to bad weather.
・年末年始、週末は大変混雑する為、レンタル等の手続きがある方は開始時間に間に合うよう、お早めの受付をお願い致します。
Please arrive early to arrive in time for the start time.
・開始時間5分前にはスクール集合場所へお集まり下さい。
　Please arrive at the school meeting point 5 minutes before the start time.
・集合時間に遅れた場合はプログラムを進めさせて頂きますのでご了承下さい。
　Please note that if you are late for the meeting time, the program will proceed.
・プログラム進行中に天候急変により中止になった場合やお客様のご都合によりキャンセルされた場合の返金は一切致しません。
　No refunds will be given if the program is canceled due to sudden changes in weather or due to the customer's convenience.
・プログラム時間には準備体操、用具の説明、整理体操、片付け、体力に応じた休憩も含まれております。
　The program time includes warm-up exercises, equipment explanation, organization exercises, cleaning up, and breaks depending on your physical strength.
・プログラム中、レベルに応じてクラス変更をさせて頂く場合がございます。
　During the program, we may change classes depending on your level.
・プログラム中は安全第一に努めて参ります。身勝手な行動は他のお客様のご迷惑になる他、重大な事故に繋がりますので絶対にお止め下さい。
